Name: Marian Knapp Date: June 12th, 1913 - January 31st, 2010 Obituary: ADRIAN – Marian Leona (Cowell) Knapp, age 96, of Adrian, died January 31, 2010 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born June 12, 1913, in Lenawee County, the daughter of Clyde and Alena (Force) Cowell. She graduated from Sand Creek High School with the Class of 1930. On August 4, 1946, she married Tom Knapp. He preceded her in death in 1971. Marian is survived by one niece, Ileen (John) DeVelbiss of Colorado; two nephews, David (Patti) Cowell of Florida; and Gene (Mary) Cowell of Ottawa Lake; several great nieces and nephews; and cousins, Mabel Lewis and Margaret Poucher, both of Adrian. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gerald “Dike” Cowell, and a nephew, Roger Cowell, who gave her a family nickname, “Aunt Moo”. The funeral service for Marian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Wagley Funeral Home with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
