Name: Violet Casper Date: May 4th, 1908 - December 1st, 2009 Obituary: ADRIAN – Violet B. Casper, age 101, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Violet was born May 4, 1908, in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, the only daughter of Robert and Augusta (Steffens) Seegert. On December 16, 1933, Violet married Cecil B. Casper in Bowling Green. Cecil preceded her in death in 1966. Violet was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid. Violet is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Close and her husband, Maurice, of Adrian; two grandsons, Michael (Kathy) Close of North Carolina and Mitchell Close of Manitou Beach; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers. A memorial service in honor of Violet will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Sarrault officiating.
