Name: Calvin "Buck" Morgan Date: May 6th, 1925 - September 20th, 2009 Obituary: ADRIAN – Calvin “Buck” Morgan, age 84, of Adrian, passed away at his home Sunday, September 20, 2009. He was born May 6, 1925, in Colgate, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Andrew and Ethel (Eden) Morgan. On May 6, 1955, Calvin married Nora Cremeans in Ogden Center. Buck worked as a crane operator for Stubnitz & Greene, which later became Hoover Ball Bearing, for 37 years, retiring in 1982. He was a true family man who loved spending time with his family. Buck and Nora enjoyed square dancing for many years. League bowling with his son-in-laws, playing on the Old Timers Slow Pitch Softball League, hunting, fishing, and gardening were also favorite pastimes of his. Calvin was a member of the Palmyra Presbyterian Church where he was active in the Friendship Class. In addition to Nora, his wife of over 54 years, Calvin is survived by two daughters, Patti (Ken) Kintner of Adrian; and Kym (Stephen) Swendsen of Palmyra; a sister, Betty Shope of Texarkana, TX; four grandchildren: Cassie (Don) Wilson, Carrie (Robert) Meusling, James Swendsen, and Candace (Darren) Birdsall; and two great grandsons, Gideon and Greyden Wilson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Barney and Leslie; and four sisters, Hazel, Grace, Florence and Gladys. The funeral service for Calvin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Bidwell officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh.
