Name: Emily Boley Date: July 8th, 1925 - August 25th, 2009 Obituary: CHELSEA – Emily M. Boley, 84, of Chelsea, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Chelsea Retirement Center. Emily was born in Massachusetts on July 8, 1925, the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth (Porter) McRae. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Home Economics. On August 26, 1950, Emily married Robert Boley. Robert, her husband of almost 59 years, survives. Emily was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Adrian where her husband, Dr. Boley, served as pastor for many years. Besides her husband, Emily is survived by four children, Art (Rosanne) Boley of Farmington Hills; John (Diane) Boley of Mount Pleasant; Sandy (James) Kitts of Flushing; and Bill Boley of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, Thomic, Aldona, Veronica, Robert, Ian, Hannah, Mary, Samuel and Jacinda. She is also survived by a sister, Martha Kreinsen, of Dover, Conn. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donald and Kendall. The funeral service for Emily will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodish Church in Adrian on Saturday, September 5, 2009.
