Name: Helen Harr Date: September 17th, 1923 - May 3rd, 2009 Obituary: TOLEDO – Helen M. (Procknow) Harr, age 85 of Onsted, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Toledo Hospital. Helen was born September 17, 1923 in Redford, Michigan. She spent her youth in Riga where she was raised by Harley & Flossie Irwin. Helen was blessed with two wonderful husbands. On June 21, 1944, Helen married Walter Procknow. He preceded her in death in 1962. On August 13, 1966, she married Forrest Harr who passed away in 1999. Helen’s top priority was her family. She loved taking care of her home and family. While living in Jackson, Helen was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Adrian. Helen is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann (Gary) Bourns of Adrian and Mary (Tom) Oram of Onsted; two stepsons, Dennis (Sherrie) Harr of White Pigeon, MI; and Lynn (Karen) Harr of Jackson; four grandchildren, James (Jenny) Britt, Jr.; Lisa Roesch; Susan (Randy) Roof; and Julie Roesch; four step grandchildren, Andy (Michelle) Harr; John (Mary) Harr; Kevin (Kelly) Harr; and Teri (Nick) Swank. Also surviving are many great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Helen was preceded in death by a stepson, Ron Harr; a grandson, Johnathan Britt; a step granddaughter, Stephanie Harr; and two great grandchildren, Tanner and Jacob Roof. The funeral service for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May, 7, 2009, at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Keller and Rev. David Koehler officiating.
