Kent was born October 20, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of Norman and Ruth (Aiken) Langthorne. He graduated from Adrian High School with the Class of 1961. He worked at Tecumseh Products prior to starting his own business, Langthorne Construction. Kent is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Broderick of Middleton, Idaho; a grandson, Chase Broderick of Interlochen, Michigan; a brother, Gary Langthorne of LA; a nephew, Scott (Lori) Cline of Adrian; a great nephew, Seth Cline, and his good friend for many years, Brad Peck of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Krouse. The funeral service for Kent will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Burdine officiating.
